R.& K.

R. was born into a Muslim family and as a teenager was a member of an Islamic group. After high school, he became disillusioned with Islam and turned to atheism. During that time, he became friends with the first Turkish Christian he had ever met. This man invited him to church and R. attended for two and a half years as an unbeliever. While fulfilling his compulsory military service, he gave his life to Jesus Christ. As R. served in the church, he discovered that he had a strong desire to do full-time ministry for the Lord. R. met his wife K. when she came to Turkey on a short-term missions trip in 2001. They married in 2005. They have two sons.

Together they are serving several evangelical churches in Turkey. Their churches and ministries prioritize boldly proclaiming the truth of the gospel in a country that is more than 98% Muslim. They are committed to establishing physical and open places of worship, in order to combat the suspicion that often surrounds the Christian church in a Muslim country. In addition to evangelistic outreach, the churches offer opportunities for discipleship, growth, fellowship and even theological education classes for believers.
